About

Hi, I'm Greg Patenaude. I'm a Buddhist teacher, writer, lifelong learner and explorer. I work on a variety of projects for communities that are important to me. I enjoy translating the teachings of the ancient wisdom traditions into simple, practical tools and skills people can use in daily life.

I began practicing and studying the Dharma in 2004 with my root teacher, Younge Khachab Rinpoche. Since 2008, I have been leading meditation groups, retreats and teaching online and in-person classes throughout the United States. I have also received teachings from other prominent teachers, such as His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Lama Tharchin, and Kusum Lingpa among others.

The Buddhist tradition has a wealth of resources, practices and insight that can truly benefit people’s life and mind. I am dedicated to making these teachings more available and accessible so that others can develop and build their own practice. The journey of self-discovery and awakening is long, but the greatest gift that we can give ourselves is to learn how to be more present, open, and generous, to cultivate a joyful heart and peaceful mind, so that we can transform our own life and make a lasting impact on our world.

The wisdom of the ancient practice traditions allows us to be more human, fully human. It enables us to live a good life and to enjoy our life. As wayfinders on the path of life, we become disciples of experience and follow our curiosity, backing up experience with logic and reasoning. Those interested in going deeper can always enter into a more formal Buddhist path.

My goal and aspiration is to give you something that you can take with you on your journey, something that you can continue to work with and rely on. It gives me joy to see you start your practice, deepen your practice, and to reach out with questions or insights. That is what we are here to do.

Greg currently makes his home in Seattle, Washington and is committed to supporting and inspiring other practitioners who have dedicated their lives to sharing their gifts in an effort to create a better world.
