There is a Place

A contemplative poem on Dzogchen Longdé and the infinite expanse in which samsara and nirvana are embraced within ultimate bodhicitta.
There is a Place

There is a place,

a naturally abiding spaciousness,
the essence of the Dzogchen Longdé.

A place of perpetual presence,
the effulgent now.

A place of timeless silence
amidst the movement of the elements.

The secret place of the Lord of Sages,
Thubpey Wangpo.

The primordial ground of all-pervasive pure presence,
Samantabhadra.

The domain of the lord of the infinite vast expanse,
Longchen Rabjam.

In this place,
unearth the treasury of the naturally occurring Great Perfection,
a timeless, primordial, luminous expanse.

Within it, the infinite variety of the four elements
arises and resolves
in the unwavering space of timeless awareness.

Everything is spontaneously present in its own place,
the four visions arise and resolve without effort.

Timelessly so,
the nature of reality experienced
as pure presence
within the infinite vast expanse.

Nothing is left undone.
Everything is included:

all that appears and exists,
all of samsara and nirvana,
the arising and dissolving of every moment—

embraced within the wholeness
of ultimate bodhicitta.

This is that place.

This poem arose spontaneously on the morning of July 11, 2026, while resting in spacious presence in the secret place of the guru.
